Transcribed by David C.Blackwell 1989-1995 with help.
I have kept the original spelling and obviously I have misread many letters.

The last generation is documented in land transaction found in the Bagshaw collection at Sheffield Archives. These transactions occur in around 1547.

This William may be the same William Blackwell of Watford who leaves his will at St.Albans in 1514 mentioning his son Robert, 3 daughters (Agnes, Isabel, and Elizabeth), and a Phillip.

I speculate he is brother of Richard Blackwell9 of Blackwell in Taddington who died in 1505 and whose will is date 1503; and that the land in question is the dower land of their mother Isabel Litton sister of Sir Robert Litton the household treasurer of Henry VII.
